Daily Sketches 2020

On 1st January 2020 I decided to take part in a sketch-a-day challenge suggested by Australian artist Debbie McKinnon who was really fed up about the fires sweeping her part of Austrialia.

I really have produced a piece of art every day for my Instagram account @oliviaosullivandailysketch. At first the sketches - drawings, painting, prints - seemed like a chore but as COVID-19 lockdown began in the UK in March they became a bit of a lifeline - getting me going, chatting to the online community who were doing the same thing.

Also the quick sketches freed up my style, got me searching for new things to sketch - I started drawing my garden for the first time.
